On August 24, 2022, Davis Street, a nonprofit organization alleviating poverty in San Leandro and surrounding areas in California orchestrated an event to commemorate its 50th anniversary. With over 200 guests at the Canyon View Event Center in San Ramon, the Golden Gala honored Davis Street for its impact over the past decades. David Street has been committed to lifting families out of poverty since its inception in 1972. The nonprofit organization offers a vast selection of social services, such as child care, the supply of food and clothing, helping children with disabilities, and more.
At the Golden Gala event, Davis Street's supporters generously raised funds to help thousands of struggling families in San Leandro and neighboring areas. The Golden Gala held several auctions to support Davis Street, embracing a Hollywood award-night theme. Additional highlights included a cocktail hour, a formal dinner, dessert, and networking opportunities for attendees.
The Golden Gala drew sponsorship from numerous supporters, including Nancy & Michael Pretto, Kaiser Permanente, NUG Wellness, Sutter Health Eden Medical Center, ClearPath Business Advisors, and Fremont Bank.
